Caer Llan

We can't recommend Caer Llan enough! Everything was perfect from start to finish - Jake & Vicky were incredibly helpful from the very start of our planning through to saying goodbye. They made our special day so much more special than we could have ever dreamed of. Every request we had they obliged and even had plenty of suggestions too which were all very welcomed. The food was incredible, all of the guests raved about it. The staff were all friendly and the bar man, Chris, was so kind and accommodating. We wish we could do it all again and we wouldn't change a thing!

I'm not sure where to even start but we loved having our wedding at Caer Llan. Jake and Vicky were so lovely and helpful throughout the planning of the wedding and the day itself and provided the perfect day, nothing was too much of an ask. You will blown away by the stunning view! The food is excellent and there were lovely rooms available on site for our wedding parties and families. This was the perfect venue for us, it felt intimate and totally personal. We could not recommend this place enough!

We simply had the best day of our lives at Caer Llan, with the most attentive and generous hosts we could have asked for. The venue and backdrop is absolutely stunning. Months on from our day, our friends still say the wedding was the best they had been to because of the atmosphere and the stunning views. They said it felt like a summer party abroad! The venue just made everyone relax and have fun. Vicky & Jake are phenomenal at what they do and making everyone there feel like a friend. They are always close on hand and communication was spot on the whole way from booking Caer Llan to the morning after the wedding. They covered all bases and we really felt like we were in safe hands and could enjoy the day. Having the wedding breakfast outside was so beautiful it was surreal, and walking around the grounds with our photographer was another highlight as it's so lovely and well kept. The food was so tasty and everyone's needs were met, even the evening food was so good one of my friends asked me if we could go back for a party someday just for the BBQ! When you're at Caer Llan for your wedding, you feel that exclusivity and that you are somewhere really special, away in nature with your nearest and dearest, well fed and comfortable - what more could you want from a wedding!

My husband and I got married in Caer Llan in February 2023, and honestly we couldn't have chosen a better venue for the amazing over all experience we received. Right from visiting for the first time, Jake and Vicky were so attentive, always on hand to answer questions and provide support, and really made us feel at ease if we had any worries. Vicky even sat us down the night before the wedding to do a proper run through of the day, which helped us so much. The venue itself is absolutely beautiful and you can't beat the views of the Monmouthshire hills that you get from the balcony. The food was incredible and very reasonably priced, the bar staff were lovely, the accommodation was brilliant and all of our guests loved being able to stay over the night before the wedding as well as the night of. Caer Llan was our first and only choice - we didn't want to visit anywhere else after seeing Caer Llan because to us it was just perfect.

We enjoyed our wonderful wedding at Caer Llan in September. Vicky and Jake were brilliant hosts and everything ran smoothly. The food was divine and everyone had an amazing time. Even though the weather wasn't on our side, it didn't ruin the day and Vicky and Jake were able to easily adapt. Communication during the run up to the wedding was great and I felt that queries were dealt with quickly. The FAQ section of the website was really useful too! We had the most beautiful wedding reception at Caer Llan in May. The terrace was perfect for such a sunny day and we were so pleased to eat outside. Everyone said how lovely the venue was. The food was yummy, especially the creme brûlée. The children loved using the swimming pool. In the morning our guests were considering reasons to come again!

On 3rd October 2023 we had our perfect wedding at the most perfect venue. We looked at a few places however as soon as we turned into the driveway and saw the property and spectacular views we knew that Caer Llan was special. Vicky and Jake are both lovely and so friendly and instantly made me feel at ease about the planning of the wedding which was in a relatively short space of time. Vicky’s communication was excellent throughout and any queries I had she answered promptly. I’m not exaggerating when I say our wedding day was perfect 🥰 and a big factor in this was that Vicky and Jake are clearly very experienced and run a tight ship . They made sure all the timings were spot on for the day/evening to run smoothly. The food was delicious and drink’s reasonably priced. All of our guests haven’t stopped talking about how beautiful Caer Llan is. Thank you for making our day so special 😊

We got married at Caer Llan in July and would highly recommend it to any prospective couples! The venue itself is absolutely gorgeous, with stunning views of the Welsh valleys. Despite planning our wedding from the US, Jake and Vicky made our wedding planning stress free! They went above and beyond on every detail of our wedding and left us feeling incredibly confident and comfortable to just enjoy our day while they worked in the background. The staff worked with a seamless efficiency that made every single attendee give us glowing enthusiasm towards the food, the accommodations, and the entire event! Overall an incredible few days with friends and family that we will never forget!

Caer Llan was the first, and only venue we looked at for our wedding. Having the option to get married outside, with the stunning Usk Valley as our backdrop, was all the enticement we needed. Vicky and Jake were the most brilliant hosts. Their availability to offer advice and answer our questions enabled the lead up to our wedding to be stress free and helped increase our excitement. Choosing a Twilight wedding was absolutely the best decision, allowing us to minimise the formality and maximise on fun!! The food was delicious and plentiful, the accommodation is stylish, comfortable and the best value I’ve ever known, with most rooms able to sleep between 2-4 people. An additional bonus for us was the fact that as Caer Llan is also Vicky & Jake’s family home, it has all the comfort and homely touches to make the venue warm and welcoming and we didn’t feel the need to add any additional decoration. We cannot recommend Caer Llan and Vicky and Jake highly enough. It is the most perfectly intimate Monmouthshire wedding venue.
