Description

An enchanting vintage setting for your wedding! Set in the heart of beautiful Buckinghamshire countryside, we can host civil ceremonies and receptions in our stunning glass-roofed venue, which forms an impressive backdrop for any wedding. The 25-acre site offers endless photographic opportunities. We can cater for up to 150 guests for a sit down meal, and we have a large, separate dance floor for the celebrations afterwards! You can even book a private steam train for your guests! Set in the beautiful village of Quainton, our railway building was formerly the old Oxford railway station, Rewley Road, which was designed by Sir Joseph Paxton who also designed Crystal Palace. Dismantled and rebuilt at our heritage site in Quainton, it makes an impressive backdrop to your wedding. We are also licensed for civil weddings so you can hold your wedding ceremony here if you choose.

Included in our price are tables, chairs, PA for speeches/reception and ceremony music as well as uplighters around the upper and lower concourses. We have an extensive list of suppliers for everything else, or you can find your own.

Our wedding co-ordinator, Belinda, is on hand throughout the planning stages and set up, and on your special day. She is always happy to give you lots of tips and advice to make it as easy as possible. This is a lovely venue if you dream of carving out your special day in your own unique way.

If you are looking at our remaining 2026 dates, we have a few left in June and July which we can give you at the discounted rate of £4200 for a Saturday (including Friday set up time).

To give you an idea of prices for 2027 dates there is a range:

£4800 (March, April, October)

£4900 (July, August)

£5200 (May, June, September)

A private steam train for 2 hours during your day is £1500

Describe the best wedding that happened at your venue?

We love all our weddings! It's such a happy, chilled out place to get married, everyone always seems so relaxed.

What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Enjoy every moment - even in the run up - organising your wedding should be fun too!

What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?

Our venue is a showcase for bunting! We love bunting and it looks amazing when there are lines and lines of it donning our beautiful glass roof. My favourite was when one couple chose colourful ribbon, instead of the usual flag bunting!

Where’s the best photo spot at your venue?

On the footplate of a vintage steam locomotive

Have you had any celebrity guest or wedding at your venue?

Not yet!

What’s your favourite midnight treat?

Chocolate

What is your venue's most unique feature?

Our wedding couples can go off on a Vintage Steam Locomotive and then 'arrive' back to their awaiting guests to welcome them as a newly married couple! Then, all their guests can take a ride during the day!

What part of your business are you most proud of?

Some of our locomotives are over 140 years old and have been beautifully restored by our volunteer members and are stunning - one is on display in our wedding venue alongside some beautiful restored carriages!
