Bryn Meadows Golf Hotel Spa

We absolutely loved our wedding day at bryn meadows, we would 100% recommend anyone to get married here. They were so supportive throughout the planning process we would like to thank the amazing Kristyna for that, and on the day the amazing Jake who was our wedding manager. We had a beautiful rustic autuminal wedding which was fitting for the time of the year, the burnt oranges, rust woods and burgundy colours was like bring autumn in from outside. We would like to thank wedding gems for the beautiful decorations. We also had a beautiful 4 tiered marble cake, with a rustic log effect with autuminal flowers that was made by Bryn aweĺ cakes. That tasted delicious. We spent the day laughing, and enjoying the company of our loved ones. The food was exceptional, and the wines, prosecco, and bucks fizz were beautiful too 🥰. Our ceremony was followed by a drinks reception with the harmonious voices of ebbw vale male voice choir, in memory of someone very special to us both. Every element of our day held a sentimental value to both myself and kyle. The evening was finished of with a huge party, everyone dancing, laughing, celebrating us. With the help from ultrabooths we had the best dj, a beautiful light up dances floor with uplighters around the room, we had light up letters under our beautiful autuminal arch and a ultra mirror photobooth, which we have memories to last a life with the photos. We now have memories & photos to cherish for a lifetime all thanks to bryn meadows and of course daniel brown photography for capturing these special moments for us both. Myself and my now husband wanted our day to be perfect - as any couple does. We had endless conversations via email, telephone and face to face with Kristyna, Bernard and Alex to ensure that our vision for our wedding was brought to life. I was a fussy bride and had high expectations but nothing was too much trouble and they always did their very best to ensure we felt confident that we were all on the same page throughout the wedding planning process. On the day of, Jake was spectacular. He really couldn’t do enough for us. We felt confident that he was in full control throughout the day and always kept us in the loop about what was next and where we needed to be etc. Kristyna and Lara both played an extremely important role throughout the entire day and they exceeded my expectations with making the Fairways Suite look absolutely beautiful. The events team are nothing short of phenomenal. The day itself was spectacular, the decor, the guys running of the day, and everything in between was absolutely superb. The staff on the day went above and beyond to make sure we knew that they had everything under control and that we could sit back and relax and enjoy our special day. Although it rained all day, all the special little places on the grounds made for fantastic photographs and we really do have special memories within our photographs to look back on forever. Overall, a beautiful venue, fantastic staff and a place that will always hold a special place in our hearts. We will never be able to put into words how grateful we are to the team for creating our perfect day.

Me and Kyle are the true definition of young love, we met in our small village in Waunlwyd in Ebbw Vale. Where we became bestfriends turned sweet heart young lovers. I was 18 and Kyle 17 became boyfriend and girlfriend 29/10/2011. Our very first date was at pillars in Cardiff during a shopping trip for Christmas presents for our families and each other. A year later we moved in with eachother. On 15/7/2015 Kyle picked me up from work on my lunch break, and drove us to our favourite spot. Where we used to park up and eat our morrisons salad bar pot. Then take a walk before I went back to work. This spot was Saint James pond in Tredegar. On this particular Saturday afternoon when picking me up Kyle was very quiet and seemed nervous. I was confused. On arrival he got out of the car went round to the boot then he opened the door to my side of the car. He handed me 2 dozen roses and handed me a red book. Filled with letters cut out on each of the pages, of a little story of how we met. And eventually I came to a page saying "So Kimberley Jade Taylor" (my full name) I turned the page again and it said "will you marry me?" I look at him and he is there with this beautiful ring on his hand. Me being in utter shock replied, "Are you being serious" so he repeated my full name and asked "will you marry me?" And of course i said "yes". Obviously! We chose to get married at bryn meadows golf club, Hotel & Spa, because since 2016 we attended a hen party there. And I was chatting to a staff member of how perfect it would be for a wedding venue, & there was a wedding happening there that evening. They mentioned to pop my head in to see what it was like. I fell in love. So there was nowhere else I was choosing to get married. Throughout all the planning the events team has been amazing, even down to me emailing Krystina weekly with questions and answers. They truly made our day a day to remember. My bridal party and I stayed at the venue to night before and got ready in the bridal suite. My 2 maid of honours my sister Alicia and best friend Sadie & bridesmaids Natalie and Ffion. We had the best hair dressers Beth from air in tredegar and Sarah from sharp & sassy. Who came and done all of our hair and my 3 flower girls who were my 2 neices Lottie (8) & Sofia (3) and my God daughter Luna (3) they done such a amazing job. We also had the best make up artist Meg bowen who was like a professional bridesmaid helping me to look perfect she really went above and beyond. Even with helping me in to my dress. The weather at 6:30am started very gloomy and dull but as time got on the sun started to appear. We couldnt of asked for better weather tje only bit of rain we saw was when we sat down to eat out wedding breakfast. Once we were ready I did a reveal to my father in law and grandad who I love dearly. They made me cry 😢 lucky I had a cotton pad to hand on my built in bra in my dress. My photographer captured these moments perfectly. I was calm all morning, all thanks to the reassurance given by the best wedding manager "Jake" But, when It came to entering the fairway suite, and metting the registrar before walking down the aisle. That was when the nerves set in. But, inwas also im amazment of how beautiful everything looked and seeing my vision come to life. The music started I watched my bridesmaids go down the aisle, my maid of honours go down then my flower girls and page boys to the beautiful song we chose by Ryan mack - forever and ever and always. I had my grandad Clive and oldest nephew Jordan to walk me down the aisle. Let's just say, when it came to my turn, everything I practiced went out the window. I basically dragged my grandad down the aisle. A friend over heard grandad say "slow down" i replied "i just want to run" 😅 (to kyle not away!), especially when I looked up at him smiling at me coming down the aisle. Well basically dragging my grandad down the aisle. After the ceremony we entered the drinks reception where we served bucks fizz, and Welsh cakes. We also had Ebbw Vale Male voice choir for entertainment as these were very close to us. In memory of Kyle's late Grancher Plummer or Mr Bump as we regularlycalled him. They were absolutely amazing. During the choir break we done the confetti throwing. We then completed a huge group shot photo on the green. We then enjoyed the rest of the choir show and in between taking lots of photos and chatting to our guests. Our wedding breakfast, was so beautiful we did the speeches first because so many were to nervous, and wanted food afterwards. We had leek and potato soup to start, beef dinner for mains and chocolate tarte with chantily cream for dessert. Which tasted beautiful and so many guests commented how wonderful the food was. For the kids they had garlic bread to start, chicken nuggets and chips for mains chocolate ice cream for dessert. What kids dont love those right, well those fussy eaters loved every bit of it! We didn't have to wait for anything the service was perfect, so efficient and quick turn overs. Our first dance was after our cake cutting and our song was a song I sang to kyle when we first got together. It was how I realised how he held the key to my heart ❤️ because my husband is truly remarkable. Our first dance song was by jessica Jarrel- key to my heart. We danced around the dance floor just us two, whilst laughing, messing around and gazing in to eachothers eyes. Kyle is always the joker so he had to throw in his tricks which always has me giggling. We then went in to Robin S - show me love for all our guests to enjoy with us. Our wedding was a autuminal fall in love theme. It was burnt oranges, burgundy, fall colours, rustic woods, fall leaves and flowers throughout. It was bringing the autiminal feel from outside, inside. We purchased our own centre pieces from the range because I had a specific idea in mind, we rented alot of our decorations from the amazing wedding gems, once I explained what I wanted and where we wanted them. they were so helpful in making this happen for us. We designed our own confetti boxes, signage and stickers with our logo on. We made own memory table for out loved ones who couldn't join us. We also had a separate table for a fun game for our guests to enjoy. There name tags had a key attached to them that would unlock a pad lock to a box with a gift inside one lucky person had to the key. My most memorable moment of the day would probably was me dragging my grandad down the aisle and then being stood at the alter saying "i do" to my amazing husband and spending the day laughing with him. Nothing is perfect but for us the whole day was perfect. My advise for brides in the future would be to remember to remain calm, and don't do what I did and forget what you practised. I ran down the aisle. I wish I had stopped and took it all in, but nerves got the better of me. Take time to enjoy your day. And one good thing I was advised was to allocate someone to take your phone for the day. So, thay can take pictures and videos, and my bridesmaid Natalie did a fantastic job of this. She even got individual messages from everyone, which was beautiful to watch after wards. You played a huge part of ensuring we had the best day possible, so a HUGE thank you to you for that. The day was absolutely perfect. We genuinely couldn't have had a better day if we tried from start to finish. We received great feedback on how beautiful it all looked and was. The whole team were fantastic, Jake was fantastic too. We cannot thank the whole team enough. We had the most incredible wedding day. Thank you to Alisha for going above and beyond prior to the wedding day and dealing with my emails from dusk til dawn and a huge thank you to Jake who made our day what it was. I truly cannot thank him enough, the man deserves a raise. He dealt with every crazy request from every groomsmen, photographer and guest and his attention to detail was perfect. He even reminded me to spray my veil which is so small to some but to me, it's the little things that are remembered. So thank you truly, from the bottom of our newlymarried hearts!

I really don’t no where to start but I will start by saying we had the best day ever, this place is absolutely beautiful, I Mrs Craig stayed there for 3 nights and was looked after from the evening before the wedding at the pre wedding meal. we had Jake who is lovely guy I have a gluten free vegetarian and he made sure her food was very suitable. The day of the wedding Jake was absolutely amazing throughout checking constantly that things was running smoothly and everything was fine so I’d like to say a massive thank you to him . We had wedding gems who did our venue set up and wow it was so perfect my husband and myself was so overwhelmed it couldn’t have been more perfect, my sparkly dance floor was a big hit! I like to say a massive shout out to their resident dj jeff you really made my night with your music you played the dance floor stayed full and his wife did good too with the magic mirror for some fun pictures . And last off a massive shout out to krystina you are so amazing at your job very helpful throughout the 18 months of planning you answered so many emails and calls and helped us with a lot of questions nothing was to big or to small you did everything we asked and made our day so special so thank you so much! We will most definitely be recommending this beautiful place for a wedding thank you Brynmeadows for making it so special

Now that I am back home in warm, sunny New Zealand, I just wanted to take the time to email and thank you for a fabulous wedding we had on 31st December 2023. The evening went without a hitch and everybody thoroughly enjoyed themselves and the evening. That being said, the wedding would not have gone off as well as it did if it wasn’t for Lara Curtis. I don’t really know what to say! I actually have no words! She was beyond brilliant in everything she did and I am so glad she was our organiser. We looked at several venues this time last year when we were hunting for wedding venues in the UK and Wales and we are beyond delighted that Bryn Meadows ticked all our boxes. A massive, massive, massive thank you must go to Lara for her help, support, dedication, kindness, attention to detail, friendliness and flexibility to make several video called between Wales and New Zealand over the past year. And then to get to meet her in person was definitely the cherry on the cake! I would also like to thank to Craig and Gemma whom, too, were fantastic. Nothing was too much of an ask for them and they catered to our every need. So sincere thanks to them all and their teams for a fabulously successful wedding.

I just wanted to express our thanks and gratitude to you all at Brynmeadows for making our day so special. You were amazing as a wedding coordinator- nothing ever was a trouble and we definitely received 5* treatment from you and your team. I especially wanted to thank Jake for his excellent hospitality and will be definitely recommending you all as well as returning every year.
