Beamish Hall is available on an exclusive basis as well as for individual function room rentals. With our exclusive use packages, you and your guests can enjoy all of our stunning function rooms for a complete and private celebration! We have a total of 6 function rooms inside Beamish Hall, seating as little as 2 guests and as many as 350! Some of our most popular rooms include: The beautiful Victorian Winter Gardens room with a stunning marquee style roof, huge windows overlooking the grounds and its own private outdoor terrace; The light and airy Monboucher Suite, with beautiful, large bay windows overlooking the spectacular gardens and the magnificent 19th century Shafto Hall, with breathtaking original features such as the solid oak panelling, stained glass windows and minstrel’s gallery. Dreaming of an outdoor wedding? We also offer beautiful outdoor ceremonies on the winter gardens terrace, against the spectacular backdrop that is Beamish Hall. Our team at Beamish Hall Country House Hotel would love to meet you and offer you a guided tour of our beautiful venue. Viewings are available every day of the week by one of our devoted event coordinators. We are fully licensed to hold civil ceremonies, so you can celebrate your whole day with us at Beamish Hall. We made the BEST decision!

Choosing Beamish Hall as our wedding venue was, without a doubt, the best decision we made. A venue plays such a vital role in the overall experience of a wedding—it sets the tone, handles the logistics, and helps create those lasting memories. Beamish Hall did all of this and more with exceptional grace and professionalism. From start to finish, everything ran seamlessly. Every member of staff went out of their way to ensure each guest felt truly valued. Their warmth, humour, and attentive service added so much joy to our day—they were genuinely the ‘cherry on top’. Special thanks must go to Katie, the lovely team at the check-in desk, and our incredible Master of Ceremonies, who all understood our vision perfectly and kept everything running effortlessly. Communication with the Wedding Team was outstanding; responses were prompt, our planning meetings were smooth, and no request was ever too much trouble. We just wanted to take a moment to express our deepest gratitude for everything everyone did to make our wedding day so incredibly special. From start to finish, the experience was absolutely flawless, and we couldn’t have wished for a more perfect day. Every detail was handled with such care and professionalism, and it was clear how much effort went into making sure everything ran smoothly. The venue looked stunning, the food was exceptional, and the service was beyond outstanding. Every single member of the team went above and beyond to ensure that we and our guests felt welcomed, cared for, and truly celebrated. We have received so many compliments from our guests about the wonderful atmosphere, delicious food, and warm hospitality—none of which would have been possible without all of the staff. Perfect Day

We could not have asked for a more perfect day for our wedding. We were incredibly lucky with the weather for a 28.02.25 wedding, but even luckier with the venue and its amazing team. The staff were absolutely brilliant — a special shout-out to Emily, Katie, and (I believe) David or Daniel (apologies cannot remember the name!), as well as Annabel. Everyone was so professional, attentive, and genuinely kind, making sure every detail was taken care of. Nothing was too much trouble, and they went above and beyond to make our day truly special. We are so grateful for everything, and we would wholeheartedly recommend this venue to anyone looking for the perfect wedding day experience.

Beamish Hall is the perfect wedding venue, and we had the most perfect day. The Hall looked amazing, and the day ran very smoothly. The wedding co-ordinators were excellent throughout the planning process, and all correspondence was responded to very promptly. The food on the day was exceptional, served very hot at every table, and all of the staff were outstanding. Yes Beamish Hall is the perfect venue, but what makes the perfect day is the staff, the food, and how welcoming our guests were received. We would highly recommend this venue to any Bride and Groom

Myself and my husband got married at Beamish Hall on Saturday 8th February and we could not fault them at all. From booking the wedding to the day of the wedding, nothing was too much for them. Not only is the venue stunning but Lauren from the day of booking, and Emily and Katie closer to the day, were all absolutely fabulous with us and nothing was too much, even the copious amounts of emails asking questions from me. The day itself, they made sure that we got little bits of time to ourself, taking us off and telling us to make sure to spend time together as husband and wife. Our guests were blown away by the venue, with multiple compliments being given with regards to the service, the food and the decor; many of our guests said it was the nicest wedding they have ever been to and they could not believe how relaxed the day was; with it flowing seamlessly. Those that chose to stay at the venue loved the rooms and many, even those that did not stay, have expressed that they will be back as they loved it that much. I would definitely recommend Beamish Hall to anyone else looking for a wedding venue, and we cannot wait to visit again, I just wish we could do the day all over again.

From the first appointment we had with Beamish we knew it was the perfect wedding venue for our special day! Whether it was the day we booked our wedding through to the last appointment the day before the staff went above and beyond. Nothing was ever too much and every query was answered so promptly taking all the stress out of the planning process. Everyone we had contact with were so accommodating and professional. The days its self is something all out of our family and friends will never forget! Many of which have said it was the best wedding they have been to. A lot of this is down to the venue, the staff, the food which was amazing!! The atmosphere created by Beamish’s in-house DJ and the attention to detail that Beamish staff made. Beamish Hall its self is simply stunning! All of our guests have made numerous compliments about the venue which speaks for itself! We pictured a winter wonderland wedding which ended up being even more amazing that we could have pictured due to the grand interior and exterior of Beamish’ Having exclusive access also meant that all of our guests had accomodation in the beautiful bedrooms which where extremely reasonably priced. I could not reccomend beamish anymore to anyone who is planning their wedding! Thank you so much for making our day one that we will never forget! A fantastic day

From the moment we viewed Beamish Hall Hotel we loved it!! The wedding co-ordinators were fantastic from day one. Any questions we had were dealt with promptly and in the run up to the wedding we had a final details appointment where they went through the day with us in detail. The actual wedding day couldn’t have gone better, our co-originator ensured our day ran so smoothly & it was completely stress free! All of the staff at the venue were lovely, the meal was delicious & we used a few of the suppliers recommended by beamish who were also excellent. I would highly recommend Beamish Hall Hotel- it is a beautiful venue with picturesque surroundings and fantastic staff!

The most perfect wedding day

We had our wedding day at Beamish Hall at the weekend. Everything was amazing. The food was delicious, the staff were so friendly and helpful. The planning process was made easy with professionalism, communication and flexibility. The accommodation was perfect and The Stables is ideal for meals and drinks and a very cosy atmosphere. No two weddings are ever the same, which is incredibly exciting and why we absolutely love what we do! It would be impossible to choose just one individual wedding to label as ‘the best’ as they have all been wonderfully brilliant in their own way! What’s most important to us as a venue, is that each wedding is the BEST version of what each couple envisages it to be, with a little added Beamish Hall sparkle of course! Personally, for me, I think the best bits are created by the simple things; that first look, the butterflies and nerves, a room bursting with love and laughter! It’s those priceless moments that create precious memories to cherish forever❤

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Try to enjoy the process and take time to catch your breath and assess what’s most important to you. Wedding planning is honestly one of the most crazy, stressful and emotional experiences you’ll ever have!! There will be moments you’ll absolutely love, and others will drive you to despair – you won’t believe us right now, but we promise you’ll actually miss it once it’s over. Our friendly team are here to help! No question is too silly, no request too random, and we’ll be on hand to celebrate and cry with you along the way. Pour yourself a glass of wine, run a nice hot bath with the salts and Yankee candle we’ll give you during booking (it was a strategic move 🤣) and RELAX… we’ve got this!

What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?

We have witnessed so many unique and personal touches –and all completely different. We’ve had furry family members visit the hotel during drinks receptions ranging from an albino hamster, adorable puppies, Lucy the Llama, even a horse!! We’ve welcomed arrivals via helicopter, motorbike, Lamborghini, or a Jurassic Park jeep! Everything from grand gestures, to bespoke sentimental touches such as a memory table or seat dedicated to a loved one no longer with us. We love to hear your ideas and to experiment with new things. Anything really is possible, and we’ll work closely with you to bring your vision to life.

Where’s the best photo spot at Beamish Hall?

There are so many beautiful backdrops within our grounds and in our lovely function rooms, but one of our personal favourites has to be our beautiful outdoor woodland swing. It’s extremely popular with our couples, guests and the little ones, and makes for some really fun and hilariously memorable snaps!

Have you had any celebrity guest or wedding at Beamish Hall?

On a wedding day we believe everyone should be made to feel like a celebrity so that makes it incredibly difficult to differentiate between the two. But to answer your question, yes! We have been extremely fortunate to have had many a famous face at Beamish Hall, both holding and attending weddings. Of course that’s sensitive information so we aren’t about to name drop - sorry!

What’s your favourite canapé?

For us, it’s got to be either the baked red pepper and parmesan tartlet or the chocolate dipped strawberries – yum!! These go down a treat and make the perfect accompaniment to your drinks reception.

What’s your favourite midnight treat?

Ooh, another tough question. While at work, I love it if someone orders a Great British grazing station as chef always makes a little extra for the team and they’re delicious! My ability at home is a little less extravagant and so I’d probably go for something like cheesy Doritos and sour cream dip. Mmm all this talk of food is making me hungry!

What is Beamish Hall most unique feature?

I mean, just look at the pictures – we’re a pretty impressive building and have the perfect balance between historic grandeur and modern elegance! But we’ve always thought the history of how Beamish Hall came to be makes us incredibly special! I mean, how many other wedding venues can say they were built as a wedding gift in the 13th century for two Norman families as a thank you for helping William the Conqueror!

What part of your business are you most proud of?

Our team! We are incredibly lucky and proud to have such a dedicated, loyal and committed team, who each day go above and beyond in all they set out to do. What you are guaranteed when hosting a wedding at Beamish Hall is that each and every single member of the team encountered or unseen, from your wedding coordinator, our events team, the executive chef and his brigade or the housekeeper that fluffs your pillows in the honeymoon suite – will put 110% into everything they do and go out of their way to make you smile and ensure the most amazing, memorable and perfect BEST day of your lives!
