We had our wedding reception at the end of January with 25 guests and had the most amazing day ! Cat Johnson was our wedding planner and we cannot thank her enough for all her hard work organising our day - she is a star ! Beautiful venue, great food, lovely grounds, really good value for money as well and we highly recommend the MacDonald hotel !

We recently used this venue for our wedding reception. The grounds were stunning and provided a sacred space in the middle of the hustle and bustle of the city centre, despite the hotel being close enough to the station that access is incredibly easy. There was a perfect amount of space for the numbers we had, 80 seated and 130 in the evening. It felt full but not crowded. As for the honeymoon suite, its the kind of room you see in movies or royal households. Absolutely stunning and a great treat to be thrown in with the package. The food was excellent and many commented on it in particular. The staff were professional, helpful and made sure everything ran smoothly. What impressed me the most, a guest caused some accidental damage to a furniture and they wrote it off at their own expense, when they could have charged us. Thanks Cat for a great experience. I'm so glad this hotel decided to start a renewed focus on wedding events recently, its a great find.

We had our wedding day at Bath Spa Hotel and it was absolute perfection. From the very first point of contact to leaving the following morning after our big day there is nothing I would change. The location and grounds are fantastic and the staff could not have been more attentive and friendly.

Planning a wedding always has its challenges but doing so from a time zone five hours ahead (Atlanta & NYC in EST) only magnifies them. The team at The Macdonald House Bath Spa Hotel rose to meet those challenges every step of the way. We started a year out from our date with a FaceTime tour of the property and venues with Event Manager Benice Hampton. When we made our first visit to the property we met with Camy Mitchell to get some of the specifics in place and finalize pricing. Camy provided us with a go to list of vendors (Celebrant, D.J., Cake, Photographer) to connect with for our event. We did Zoom call interviews and were really pleased with our final choices. About two months out from our Wedding Macdonald House added Cat Johnson to their team as a Wedding Specialist. Cat's detailed approach to the final planning stages was amazing. She managed last minute requests (rooms, meal selections, food allergies) seamlessly and insured that everything and everyone was in place for the Wedding Day. We had planned for an outdoor ceremony which involved special circular seating and floral arrangements in specific trees surrounding the ceremony. When Mother Nature intervened with heavy rains the morning of the Wedding, Cat implemented the back up plan she already had in place so that everything went seamlessly (even the floral arrangements were repositioned to the inside venues). We have had nothing but wonderful feedback from our friends and family who attended our wedding and The Macdonald House bath Spa Hotel has been front and center in that feedback. All of the staff from front desk to servers, bar tenders and Bell staff were absolutely Five Star. We very much look forward to return visits in our future England travels.

Firstly, we would both like to express our utmost thanks you to you and your team- we has a perfect reception and your staff played a large part in that. From our first visit to meet with you, through to the menu tasting and wine selection to the day itself. the hotel staff were helpful and looked after us in the most professional and friendly manner. Your recommendation to use Edward for the flowers was inspired and he did a beautiful job for us. We have received nothing but praise for the hotel from our friends and family and the memory of the day will stay with us for a very long time.

A huge thank you from all of us for making it possible for Eleanor and Alex to get married yesterday. It had been a roller coaster ride since the weekend when we thought it could not happen so it was a huge relief to be able to go ahead. The Kennet and Admiralty rooms were the perfect choice for the day and looked really lovely. The staff who looked after us were fantastic and the food was really excellent. It really could not have been a more perfect day with lots of absent friends and family around the world watching the ceremony being streamed. Two of Eleanor’s best friends who live in Australia set their alarms for 1am so they could watch online - they did ask was it ok if they wore pyjamas. The sun shone and we all enjoyed ourselves immensely managing to make some special memories for both families. Thank you so much for putting Eleanor and Alex in the suite – they really felt very special and it made the whole occasion very memorable for them. Dear Benice I wanted to thank you for making Ella and Rhys’s wedding yesterday such a fabulous day for us all. We realise we were blessed with the weather but regardless of that your support and perfect planning from the moment Ella and I came to meet you a few months ago was really excellent. You really helped us navigate the complexity of holding a wedding during Covid times. Ella and Rhys always wanted a quieter more low key affair and the hotel was perfect for a more intimate celebration with immediate family. Thank you so much for organising the setting up of the room for the ceremony and quickly transferring it to the setting for the wedding breakfast. It looked wonderful. The staff were really excellent and looked after us all beautifully. Please pass on our thanks to all the staff who were so kind and provided excellent service to make it such a memorable day. Our Wedding at the Bath Spa Hotel 12th Jan 2019 We are writing to thank all the staff of the Bathspa Hotel for our wedding reception last weekend. We were very pleases that the event flowed so well and our guests all said they felt well cared for.

We both just wanted to say thank you so much for everything on our wedding day. Everything was absolutely perfect. We keep thinking back to it all and it brings tears to our eyes! Can you please pass on our huge thanks to every single member of staff who was involved on the day? It was seamless and all of our guests thought it was an amazing day. It was the best day of our lives and you were all a massive part of that.

We got married last week in Bath and chose to stay here for a couple of nights.... what a brilliant choice. We arrived in our room to find we had been treated to bubbly. In the evening we ate in the Hotel Restaurant, We had a sharing Camembert .... for my main I chose Surf and turf ... steak and lobster 🦞... it was absolutely gorgeous my now husband chose rump steak he really enjoyed it too. There was an amazing choice of food the next morning from the buffet style breakfast to the menu choices of cooked breakfast. The hotel has many facilities to use, we enjoyed the swimming pools the ice room and the saunas. We returned after our ceremony and were greeted kindly by the staff with a glass of Bubbly. We had a fantastic experience here and will definitely be returning. Thank you to all of the hard working staff who made our special day even more memorable!!
