Everything from the organisation through to the catering was outstanding. The spaces were gorgeous and so suited to our wedding. Everything was set up beautifully from the decor to the tables through to the lighting. We held our ceremony, reception, breakfast and party there, and moving between the great hall and the mezzanine was seamless. We were just touched by the extra level of support everyone gave. This included advisory on everything from flowers through to wedding insurance. There are so many wonderful aspects about our experience - a few points are as follows: We were so impressed with how the team worked with us and each other. They were adaptable, flexible and helped make the points clear. They were able to make recommendations for how we wanted to run the day, and were so warm and welcoming when we first approached them. Olivia Manning was a huge part of this and gave us confidence that our vision for what wanted could be met. Through the run up and on the day we were so grateful for Ella Gomez's and Lyndsey Baron’s support and attention to detail. One of the things that we were most touched by is the way that Ella helped Christine as she started to walk down the aisle, helping to adjust her train, and keeping a close oversight on the day along with Lyndsey. She and Lyndsey both helped our guests so much too, all of whom sung their praises. In addition we had an amazing team of servers, bar and mixologists and security. The security team Sergio and Bekim were so kind, not only providing support with warmth and humour, but also helping our guests, particularly our elderly guests as they sought taxis home. Everything about the catering was superb. From the tasting through to the execution on the day, the entire experience was stellar. The menu items were phenomenal and it was very difficult to choose! Everything from the canapés through to the meals and the late night snacks were delicious and all our guests raved about the food. Banking Hall were beyond assiduous in catering for dietary requirements, allergies and intolerances and looked after our guests so well. Wine pairings were excellent and we opted for the Prosecco because it was divine! Our very special thanks to chefs Ben Dalton & Chris Hawkins and their amazing team! This allowed the wedding, the post wedding drinks reception, the dinner and subsequent dancing to be conducted under one roof (a boon in the late autumn). The quality of the food (canapes, ceviche bar and 3 course dinner) was excellent and the choices offered to build the menu more than adequate. Good choices too to decide the wines and cocktails. The service was efficient and very observant. All our guests were very complimentary about the food, the service and the venue. The sweeping stairs leading down to the main hall provided an excellent and imposing back-drop to formal photographs. The venue was also very accommodating in fitting in with our needs (e.g. for a stage) and supporting other professionals (florists, musicians) in creating a memorable event. This is not a cheap choice, but we found the value for money was excellent. From the beginning, the team was amazing! The fabulous Olivia helped us in the beginning- we went to see the venue multiple times which she was always happy to accommodate for us- even inviting us to events to help us picture the big day! Then, we started our planning with Faye (who sadly left the company) and we were handed over to Jess who was amazing from start to finish! Jess made sure our day was perfect and the whole team who were there on our wedding day were absolutely amazing! The food was incredible! We gave them a custom mood board of all our ideas for food and they really smashed the assignment! I would even go as far as saying that they were even better on the day than at our taster session and we couldn’t have asked for more! The most perfect day, with the most perfect team! Cannot thank you all enough! Describe the best wedding that happened at your venue?
I couldn't describe the best since we've hosted so many weddings and each and every couple is different and special! That being said, i'm partial to a disco ball so we hosted a very funky and sparkly wedding with over 30 disco balls!
What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?
If I had to give some top tips for when it comes to wedding planning, I’d probably start by saying don’t be afraid to ask questions. As a couple you are not expected to know all the answers and have all of the information. Let an event planner help and guide you along the way. Lean on us!
What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?
I love creative seating plans that reflect the couples personality and more than not, their unique love to story!

Where’s the best photo spot at your venue?
Between the grand art-deco stairs, above the original LLoyds Bank Emblem or outside the Royal Exchange.
Have you had any celebrity guest or wedding at your venue?
We've had plenty of celebrity guests at Banking Hall through the years. Banking Hall has hosted plenty of A-list fashion shows with the likes of Alexa Cheung, Anna Wintour, and Louis Theroux. Skepta recently debuted his fashion line with us!
What’s your favourite canapé?
The kimchi vegetable gyoza is a major crowd-pleaser, as it's suitable for lots of different dietaries.
What’s your favourite midnight treat?
We offer our 'late night snacks' menu for all those wanting to keep the party going a little longer. My favourite is the tandoori burger!
What is your venue's most unique feature?
The original lifts which have been spotted in many famous tv shows and films!
