Ashfield House

We knew we wanted Ashfield House as soon as we looked around. We LOVED that we had the whole house to ourself for the day. The venue is perfect, with all its quirky details, the ceremony room, bar and main room are all beautiful. We loved that the guests could stay overnight. The bedrooms at Ashfield house are simply STUNNING, everyone commented on them. I feel that one of the main things guest remember about your wedding is the food. The food and options available are incredible. It amazed us how well catered everyone was, how seamless and efficient the staff were. More importantly, how delicious the food was! The staff could not do enough for us! Our wedding Planner Jennie, was onboard through the whole process, holding our hand, and making sure that everything went to plan. Our wedding celebrant Carol, made sure the wedding itself was personal. She spent time with us getting to know us and it was emotional, beautiful and wonderful. We couldn't have asked for more! Perfect venue for any wedding style! If anyone is even thinking of getting married here, my advice is... Do it! We were originally getting married elsewhere and, due to circumstances outside of our control, our venue fell through and we were forced to seek a new venue. Luckily, Ashfield House were available on our date so swooped in and saved the day for us. They could not have been more accommodating, professional and helpful. The day itself was perfect, from, arriving at silly o'clock in the morning to get ready, to packing up the car the next morning to leave for home. Every step of the way, every worry, every silly question, were all answered and catered for with no problem. We would recommend Ashfield in a heartbeat and want to say a massive thank you to all the staff there, from the housekeepers, to the chefs, to the serving staff and bar staff but, an extra special thank you to Leanne who ran our day and made us and our guests feel like royalty. The grounds and building are absolutely stunning. The food at the venue is insanely great and possible the best I've ever tasted!

From the minute we booked with Ashfield House we were incredibly impressed with the level of service we received. We absolutely loved the venue when we attended an open day, so much so that we didn’t look at any other venues and booked on that day! From there the team at Ashfield helped to make our wedding dreams come true. We loved the flexibility of this venue as they went above and beyond to help us make our special day the best day ever, including allowing us to have our dog there (and run down the aisle). If you haven’t already heard it from someone else, the food at Ashfield is beyond amazing. We attended so many weddings this year, and by far Ashfield knocked them all out of the park. We even had our menu tasting like a date night and from that point, whenever we discussed the wedding, we talked about the food. Even when catering for some very tricky dietary requirements all of our guests have also raved about the food and everyone since has continued to rave about it. The organisation of the staff and how smoothly our day ran was also amazing. From arriving in our PJs and settling into the sitting room for hair and make-up the staff looked after us so well and couldn’t do enough to help us. This stunning venue is made all the more amazing by the people who work there and I would recommend Ashfield House to anyone who is searching for the perfect venue.

Don't hesitate to use this venue. Everything was fantastic from the start to the end. The rooms are amazing, the food is to die for, the staff are so lovely and you simply couldn't get better. The bridal suite is gorgeous, and the bed is so big. You could easily get two couples in if you are that way inclined! Unfortunately I didnt get to sample the double jacuzzi bath but my husband to be did get to use it while I was getting ready in the dressing room. He said it was so nice and I felt that I missed out. I wonder if we should book it again so I can experience it? By the way, the dressing room was really big and had comfortable sofas, lots of natural light for the make up artists, lots of tea and coffee and a beautiful selection of fruit and pastries. I even put my granddaughter in the ensuite shower and washed her hair. She's 8 and didn't want to get out. Lots of yummy toiletries and fluffy warm white towels. Lets get on to the ceremony and our wedding planner, Leanne. She is a beautiful lady who did anything and everything we could think of or she thought of. Leanne even supplied me with lots of safety pins as I had a slippage of dress and too much booby show! We were married by registrars from Wigan council in the ceremony room. It was a lovely ceremony even though I can hardly remember our vows as I was so nervous. I was relieved all went well and we were both word perfect. All our guests said that they had a wonderful time, that the food was the best wedding meal they had ever had and the sleepover guests loved their rooms and had a good sleep. I didnt want to leave after breakfast and check out of Ashfield. By the way the breakfast was so tasty and the sausages were the best. The coffee was lovely, really strong and hot and I could have sat their all day in the lovely lounges , drinking that coffee and enjoying the atmosphere. So relaxing. Sadly, I had to leave but thought the next couple to arrive would have an amazing opportunity to have the best day of their lifes.

Ashfield House was perfect for our wedding day! All staff were amazing throughout the entire planning process and those that were present during the day were exceptional. The house itself was stunningly decorated, squeaky clean, and suited our needs perfectly, with plenty of space both inside and outside the house. There were so many beautiful spots for our friendly and family to hang out, and for us to have our photos taken. The chefs were equally out of this world. We asked for specific things not on the menu and they really pulled it out of the bag. Up there with one of the nicest meals we have ever had - let alone wedding food! Ashfield House went above and beyond continually. We could not recommend more.

The Best Team Ever! Leanne and the ladies at Ashfield House were absolutely incredible in giving us such a stress-free wedding day! They have been amazing from start to finish. Even on the day, they made sure my husband and I had time to have a private first dance upstairs. That was so special to us as we would have just rushed through the day. The venue itself is gorgeous and beautifully furnished. Even though it rained, there was lots of room to us all to mingle, play games/quiet space etc and I loved the cosy-feel of all the rooms. Food was amazing and loved by all, would highly recommend this venue!!

Ashfield house provided us with the absolutely perfect wedding venue from start to finish giving us our dream wedding! From the moment we looked around the stunning venue, attended wedding fairs (which are frequent) and spoke to the attentive staff we knew it was the place for us. Even being such a huge house the atmosphere always presented to us was friendliness and warm. Throughout our wedding planning, communication has been on point. Emails have been replied to quickly and phone calls to discuss any uncertainty has been cleared up immediately helping make the planning process smooth and easy. We were allocated Amanda as our wedding coordinator around 6 months before our wedding date who swiftly arranged a meeting to get to us and our plans for our big day. Amanda’s knowledge towards wedding planning was paramount to our wedding day. Tips, advice and suggestions were welcomed and Amanda’s easy going personality made for relaxed meetings. Amanda’s helped continued, being on hand throughout our wedding day from getting ready at the venue through to the evening reception, ensuring everyone was happy and everything was perfect, in addition taking time to show myself and Tom the finer details of the reception room before the rest of our guests, a special touch. Not only did Amanda make our day perfect, but also the week leading up to the wedding and the day after both Leanne and Jennie were on hand with setting up, ensuring all meals were served promptly to the correct guest and cleaning the venue over night to insure Ashfield house was back to its usual immaculate self in time for breakfast the morning after. It is rare staff stay the same from previous experience with wedding venues but after booking our venue 18 months prior to our day, all the staff remain the same and when we visited on various occasions the house really did have a family feel and was commented by many of the guests. Nothing asked of them was too much and even on hand with an emergency needle and thread the morning of the wedding. The food at Ashfield house was superb! After the tasting evening we learnt we could give our guests more than one choice which impressed most. Canapés on the sun terrance on arrival we’re a special touch welcoming our guests to start celebrations. Everyone commented how amazing the food truly was, the portion sizes are great and attention to detail is clearly important. Further detail was put into place for guests who needed something different and teenager meals made for a excellent portion size for our younger adults. The evening reception- “burgers and dirty fries” was the perfect combination after a day of wine and plenty of Prosecco flowing. There is nothing we can suggest for Ashfield house to be made better. Not only did we think this but also family and friends who attended our wedding too. The house had such a homely feel and the guests who stayed also agreed. Ashfield house will always hold a special place in our hearts for creating our dream wedding day. We would highly recommend the venue, not only for weddings but other events too. Our wedding at Ashfield house was simply perfect. The stag were super helpful throughout the whole process from booking and planning leading up to the big day which really meant we could focus on the other parts. Ashfield house itself is the perfect venue, from the ceremony room to the breakfast room to the grounds the food was unbelievable and the guests couldn’t heap enough praise! Thank you for making our day perfect!

Thank you so so much Ashfield house and the staff for making my day so amazing! The staff when UNBELIEVABLE!!! Jen hosted our whole wedding and she was just amazing! Nothing was ever to much for her! So calming to us all, helpful, knew what she was doing but it in the most gentle way! She was a god send and I don’t think my day would have felt so relaxed if it wasn’t for her! Everything just flowed amazing, the food was the best wedding food I’ve ever tasted! Everyone commented on how amazing the food was & how nice it was to be full at a wedding!! The pizzas were amazing (in the nighttime too) ! Would highly recommend! We was able to stay over the night before the big day, and again jen looked after us and made us all calm ready for the big day! I remember saying can I just put this box there and her reply “of course you can this is your home for the next two days” :) I wish we could do it all again! We are one of the Covid impacted couples whose wedding had to be arranged not once but twice due to Covid lock downs. Ashfield House were amazing throughout this time though, acting with integrity throughout. Fast forwarding to our day, what a venue, what amazing food and all supported by amazing staff. Not only did we enjoy ourselves, but everybody also had an amazing time, and the Ashfield House team played a massive part in this. For me it is the perfect venue, with the best food and an unbelievable atmosphere. Highly Recommend.
