Well this actually breaks my heart, reading all the lovely reviews about their special day and how the wedding coordinator went above and behind, then why isn't my review a 5 star, a 3 star is because the gardens are so lovely and the guests didn't even know that things went wrong, which is why I would have scored lower if they didn't tell me what an amazing day they had, so why wasn't our wedding perfect, I will tell you all. When I wanted to drop the decor off a couple of days before our wedding i had to get in touch with them, which was a bad start. The day of our wedding The guests already arrived before me and I had to tell one of my bridesmaids to tell the wedding coordinator to move them so I could get upstairs without them seeing me, when eventually coming down the stairs, I noticed the decor wasn't where I wanted it to be, the flower girl didn't get her petals and it felt rushed. Again once I was in the ceremony, seeing my future husband, everything that I was feeling just melted away and I was happy in that moment only we mattered. I wanted a group photo and a lot of guests missed the photo because they was in the venue and again why didn't my wedding coordinator tell people to go outside. Anyways has me and my husband was getting ready to get introduced, the wedding coordinator (Tammy) told me she was going and I'm in good hands with another girl (don't no her name) when we had all these meetings, not once did she say she would be going early and she had all our details so knew what was happening for that day. We paid over 300 for a air hockey and street fighter arcade machine and this didn't even get announced so our guests didn't even know we had hired that out, they only hired them out for 3 hours. The bar was so slow and it took them about 20 minutes to make one drink, my guests spent most of the time waiting for drinks then hearing my speech and eating the meal, again all the staff was so slow, by the time the top table finished their meals and had a chat, table 6 was just having theirs. My 2nd coordinator left about 8pm, it could have been before I'm not sure and again I got passed onto someone else who looked miserable and didn't want to be there. We also got told that if people didn't turn up then that money would go behind the bar for me and my husband which again that never happened, we got lied to all the way though I asked for my cake to be cut up and put out front so people could grab a piece, however by the time that came out (11am) most people were gone and missed out. The next morning The breakfast was not very organised and when we asking for stuff, the lad seemed really confused, me and my husband got ours a lot later then everyone else's breakfast. We asked people for money for our wedding gifts with cards and they was left on the side (luckily they was safe but it could have been a different story). I seen Tammy the next morning and she didn't even give me eye contact or say good morning, it was like your weddings over now, bye. It was not worth the money we paid and that was with a discount, the only good thing is I am now married and the guests had a fantastic time. (If only they knew what went wrong) I just keep thinking about it and the fact we wasn't a priority to any staff that worked there that day/night

Wow our day was the most amazing day. From the beginning mark was welcoming and very accommodating to what we wanted to make the day our day Tammy was amazing even though she was not feeling well she pulled all the stops out to make sure our day was the best with Millie by her side Thank you so much for every single staff member for making the day perfect 💞💞 Carr bank wedding venue will always have a piece of my heart 👰👰💍🏳️‍🌈

We’ve just had our special day here at Carr bank and from start to finish it was perfect. Before we viewed Carr bank in 2021 we looked at other places and not one of them places gave us the feelings we felt for this place, we just knew this was going to be the place we say  ‘I do’ The staff was fantastic especially mark and Tammy they eased all our stresses, and made all our ideas come to light. Without the help of all Carr bank staff our dream day wouldn’t have happened. All our guests were happy and enjoyed the food. It was just a perfect day all round❤️

Absolutely loved our wedding at Carr Bank the staff were so helpful and friendly from the very beginning. Millie even helped me “blow up” balloons they exploded and we did laughing 😂 Grace and all the team went above and beyond to make us feel at ease on our special day. Myself and Jamaal just wanted to say a massive thank you for our wedding on Thursday it was truly the most magical day and I would just like to say Grace is a credit to the venue she is amazing at what she does she really was my saving Grace!🩷

Just would like to thank the Carr Bank team for having Myself and Lizzy for our amazing wedding on the 24th September 2024. They made our day so so special and stress free. From start to finish they was amazing and ensured us with every detail and kept in contact throughout up untill the big day. The food was out of this world and all our guest enjoyed it. All our guests commented positively about the wedding venue. The standard of food served at the wedding reception, evening and breakfast next day was excellent. The whole package was reasonably priced and included extras that some other venues charge extra for. We would highly recommend.

Mark was really helpful throughout the planning process which I really appreciated. Unfortunately the wedding didn’t go ahead as I caught my partner cheating on me 6 days before. I decided to still go ahead with the party as everything was paid for and arranged, and the children were so excited. Mark was so helpful in sorting everything out. Tammy was on hand to help throughout the day and it was amazing. Such a beautiful venue, and the staff couldn’t do enough for me and my children. The food was delicious (really delicious!) and the drinks were flowing all day and night. We still had the 3 course meal and a buffet at night and I highly recommend! The venue looked beautiful and everyone had the best time. It was a really difficult day for me (having a wedding with no groom), but staff went above and beyond to still make it incredible. It was more than I could have imagined… and was a memorable day having friends, family, and Carr bank staff supporting me with my ‘solo wedding’! The rooms were beautiful, and breakfast the next day was also fab! Thank you so much xx
