What about your business are you most proud of?
There's nothing quite like the feedback I receive from happy couples after they've received their wedding photos. It's the ultimate reward for my hard work and dedication, knowing that I've captured their special day in a way that truly resonates with them. From heartfelt messages to glowing reviews, it's the positive feedback from my clients that drives me to continue creating beautiful, timeless memories for couples to cherish for a lifetime.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
One of my top wedding planning tips is to ask your suppliers as many questions as possible in advance. This will help alleviate any concerns or uncertainties you may have leading up to your big day, allowing you to relax and fully enjoy the moment when it arrives. Don't hesitate to ask for clarification or voice any specific requests - the more information you have, the smoother the planning process will be.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
One of my absolute favorite wedding moments is when the confetti comes out during the first dance. It's a beautiful, joyous celebration of love and commitment, and the perfect way to kick off a night of fun and romance. As a photographer, I love capturing the magic of this special moment - the look of pure happiness on the couple's faces as they're surrounded by a shower of colorful confetti is truly priceless. Let's make your first dance a moment to remember!
Describe your typical process with a couple.
I'd start with a consultation so we can talk about their day, followed by a booking form. I always encourage them to ask any questions along the way and then another phone/video call or a meet to go over final timings on the day.
What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?
As a wedding photographer, I always recommend that couples take a candid photo together, with no guests nearby. Your wedding day can be a whirlwind of activity, with little time for private moments, so it's important to embrace those precious opportunities when they arise. A candid shot of just the two of you is a beautiful way to capture your love and connection, and it's something you'll treasure for years to come. Let's work together to create those special, intimate moments that will make your wedding day unforgettable.
What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?
In my experience as a wedding photographer, one of the most original and unique photo opportunities is a whole group shot. This is a great way to capture the energy and excitement of your wedding party, and create a beautiful, memorable image that you'll cherish forever.
What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?
If you're planning a wedding on a rainy day, my recommendation is simple: embrace it! Don't let a little rain dampen your spirits or put a damper on your special day. I always bring along a supply of umbrellas to help keep you and your guests dry, so you don't have to worry about a thing. With the right attitude and a willingness to adapt, a rainy day wedding can be just as beautiful and memorable as a sunny one.
Describe how you got into photography.
I was a graphic designer in my early career. I won a voucher from a design competition and purchased my first DSLR camera, from then I had an interest in many aspects of photography and jumped at the opportunity to capture a friends wedding. It went well...and over 100 weddings later, here I am :)
