Type of Ceremonies At Riu Emerald Bay 3 different types of ceremonies are held: Symbolic, Renewal of Vows and Civil*. *Civil weddings available with additional cost. Civil Ceremonies: Are performed by a Judge and are legally recognized. Paperwork as well as blood tests are required (HIV, syphilis, gonorrhea and all STD's are tested). The newlyweds will receive a legal marriage certificate in Spanish Language. Blood Tests are not required for foreign couples. Wichtig: Civil weddings are legally recognized in the country where the wedding was performed. As each country has specific requirements, we highly recommend you contact your respective Embassy or Consulate to get the complete information of the procedure that you will have to follow with the purpose of legalize your Marriage Certificate in your country. *Riu Hotels and Resorts is not responsible for this legal procedure. Symbolic & Renewal of Vows Ceremonies : Are Blessing Ceremonies performed by a Non-denominational Minister and are not legally recognized. No paper work, blood tests and witnesses are required. After the ceremony, wedding couple will receive a “symbolic” marriage certificate. Wichtig: Riu Hotels & Resorts prides itself on the reliability of our properties which always welcome cultural diversity, please note that our Riu property in Mazatlán performs symbolic same-sex weddings. In order to apply for a renewal of vows ceremony is a must to send a photocopy from the legal marriage certificate of your home country.

Beautiful views Beautiful views
This hotel was amazing! Beautiful views, never ever have to reserve beach chairs as there are plenty! Staff is wonderful, tip them well! I wouldn’t give the food a 5 star, however there were still lots of options and ate well . The Mexican al a carte tobasco restaurant was excellent ! Amazing hotel. Food is great, pool and pool bar is fun, and the beach is terrific and not full of vendors. One thing that stood out was the staff. Everyone has such a positive attitude, and genuinely happy to see you. I would recommend to families, couples, or a pack of amigos looking for a fun trip.Amazing hotel. Staff was AMAZING! Staff was AMAZING!
Staff was AMAZING! Victor who serves us in almost every buffet area was amazing! Funny, energetic and just an all around great guy! Rene served us at the wedding we were attending. He would be pouring you your drink as he saw you coming back to the bar! Francisco and a few others at the Playa bruja were super good too! There were constantly games being setup, activities being held, karaoke, the list goes on. Using the riu app for any in-room requirements was super handy. [...]Staff was AMAZING!
