Welcome Il Vecchio Casale is a family-run Agriturismo, born from the renovation of an old farmhouse from the 1700s, home of a noble local family of the time. The structure, rebuilt using only the original materials, is located in a charming hilltop village, Vatolla, in the middle of the Cilento National Park, a few km from the sea. The truly characteristic position means that in the warm seasons you can enjoy the typical breeze of these places, which makes the high summer temperatures more pleasant and, at the same time, allows you to fully appreciate, during the winter, the evenings in front of the fireplace totally immersed in nature.

Real cilento food with a fantastic view in a very relaxed atmosphere. The little town brings you back in time. The place is wonderfulThe place is wonderful
We were brought here by Jacqueline and Luca, who know the region well and have been here several times. The food was great, specially the tunna with pistacchio. The place is wonderful, an old stone mansion restored by the family to achieve modern levels of comfort. We walked around the place before dinner and we particularly liked the swimming pool area. The staff and owners were attentive and kind. We most certainly recommend this placeWe were brought here by Jacqueline and Luca, who know the region well and have been here several times. amazing atmosphere amazing atmosphere
I am from Naples, but my wife and I - who live abroad - frequent the area in the summer. We know the place very well and are regulars there. We are talking about a very authentic place in which the owners invest a lot of passion and energy and the result is really great. Lovely Cilento food, amazing atmosphere and I think one of the best price/quality balance in the whole region. It's a nice place for children too as there is a pool surrounded by olive trees...I am from Naples, but my wife and I - who live abroad - frequent the area in the summer. Strictly speaking, the location of this "hidden gem" isn't "Ogliastro". In fact it is on the outskirts of a 'mountain' village called "Vatolla" which is located close to "Perdifumo" (the 'Commune Centrale for the area).||Vatolla is one of the most beautiful and unspoilt villages in Campagnia. It dates back hundreds of years and has remained largely untouched by the 16th Century, much less the 21st. Everything about it is 'unspoilt'. The houses in the centre are original (save for water...Strictly speaking, the location of this "hidden gem" isn't "Ogliastro". We stayed here for 2 nights for a wedding, Anna Maria cannot do enough to help you - we had a 7 month baby so needed help with hot water, sterilising etc etc and she was a great help.||||Location - it is literally in the middle of nowhere, roads round about are like dirt roads (some of them) one track roads on a very steep incline so be warned. There is nothing else in the village there. Beautiful view though!||||Rooms are very basic but everything you need is there.
