A splendid setting, but a performance below expectationsA splendid setting, but a performance below expectations
The venue is magnificent: the castle is beautiful, the grounds superb, and the reception hall truly splendid. It's an ideal setting for a wedding… provided the organization is up to scratch.
Unfortunately, we were very disappointed with the event manager's service on our wedding day. Many logistical aspects were neither anticipated nor managed: the ceremony location was chosen despite the unfavorable weather, and there was a lack of information regarding elements that had been confirmed beforehand (ritual table, babysitting, entertainment for the bride and groom, video projection, vegetarian menu, late-night burgers, etc.). We had to handle several situations ourselves during the day and evening, which is unacceptable for a service advertised with "technical and logistical support" included.
The event manager was unavailable, sometimes irritated, and clearly uninformed about the overall organization. Some of these situations had a real impact.
Despite a follow-up address, no compensation was offered, which we find very regrettable considering the overall price of the service! In addition, we received what we consider an unjustified charge: we were billed for ten tablecloths (€45 per tablecloth!) for holes allegedly caused by our sparklers upon entering the reception hall. However, the tablecloths weren't all new; holes had already been noticed by witnesses during setup. They hadn't reported anything at the time, as the holes were located at the edge of the tablecloths and were barely visible. No post-wedding inspection was carried out: we simply received a call informing us that the tablecloths had been damaged. A wedding is a unique event, and we regret that a lack of professionalism marred this day. In our opinion, the advertised service did not fully meet the commitments and expectations initially presented. The venue is magnificent: the castle is beautiful, the grounds superb, and the reception hall truly splendid.
