Located in Grandin, just steps from the Legislature and Edmonton's river valley, The Common offers a trendy setting for unique weddings. The venue offers two distinct rooms: The Common (main floor) and The Common Ground (below). These spaces can accommodate up to 130 guests each, seated or standing, for wedding ceremonies, receptions, and rehearsal dinners.
Catering options
The Common, recognised as one of the best new restaurants by Avenue Magazine, offers innovative local cuisine. Chef Lindsay Porter creates menus using local produce, offering guests classic dishes with a modern twist.
Wedding drinks
The beverage offer includes local and Canadian craft beers, wine, cocktails, and spirits at a fixed price of $8.75 per drink. Couples can also choose custom cocktails and special beer and wine selections, with open bar, ticket or ‘toonies’ options.
Reception Facilities
The Common is fully equipped for a festive wedding reception, with a high quality sound system, sophisticated lighting, disco ball, and microphones. DJs are available on request to liven up the evening.
Rates and Booking Options for your wedding reception
- The Common: Bookable from Sunday to Thursday with a minimum spend of between $4,000 and $5,000. For Saturday bookings, a combined dinner and wedding reception is available until 9.30pm for a minimum spend of $9,500.
- Common Ground (9910): Available from Tuesday to Sunday with minimum spend adapted according to the day of the week, ranging from $800 to $4,500.
For a complete wedding, the Common offers additional services, including DJ hire, bands, flowers and decorations. A planning consultation is also available for $150.
