Since then St. Francis-in-the-Wood has been the place of many family weddings over the years. During that time little has changed in this beautiful landscape, beside Lighthouse Park on West Vancouver's waterfront. Whether it is a waterfront wedding, a traditional church wedding, an idyllic garden wedding, a wedding on the rocks beside the sea, or a little piece of each, it's here. Our intimate church allows families and friends to be close to the bride and groom's wedding ceremony. Your wedding ceremony will be conducted by the Rector. You will meet to help with the planning and preparation. If you would like to have the ceremony conducted by your family minister this practice is welcomed at St Francis and our clergy will be pleased to assist with this. The church musical director, Karen Lee-Morlang, will provide and assist with the planning of the musical program that would be coordinated with the wedding service and your specific requests. Undertaking a Marriage Preparation Course is a requirement of marriage in the Anglican Church of Canada. At St. Francis, we have held successful Marriage Preparation programs for many years, and couples have found that the practice of being prepared for their married lives is both comforting and enlightening. Reviewing the sacred vows of marriage are an invitation for discussion and deepening your relationship with each other. The St. Francis clergy will assist you in preparing everything you'll need for your wedding.
