This family-owned and operated venue has numerous locations for your ceremony and a luxury marquee for a splendid reception.

Stress-Free Wedding Planning at Mewburn Park

Mewburn Park specialises in bespoke weddings with a simple wedding planning process, which consists of the following:

  • Your chosen venue hire package
  • The beverage package of your choice
  • Selection of venue’s partner for food/catering 
  • Venue Coordinator, marquee & furniture all inclusive

Ceremony and Reception at Mewburn Park

  • Ceremony options are diverse, but most couples prefer one of the following:
  • In front of the iconic brick Stables
  • Anywhere in the lush gardens i.e. the Tennis Court Tree or Homestead Lawns
  • Old Farmer’s Shed with herringbone brick floor and wooden beams (wet-weather location)

After the ceremony, Mewburn Park drinks from the outdoor pop-up bar, and the couple explores the grounds for a photo session (so many options). They preferred caterers will make your life easier and serve delicious roaming canapés/finger-food.

Receptions at Mewburn Park are in the beautiful clear-view marquee in the Homestead Gardens. The marquee features:

  • Polished concrete floor
  • Fans
  • Electric ceiling heaters
  • 1,000 fairy lights
  • Dimmable festoon lights
  • Extensive outside deck
  • All modern tables and chairs included
  • deck furniture
  • bar tables and stools

Marquee contains ample power for music, and the washrooms are just a few steps away. Marquee furniture is included as well as lounges in the smoking area.

The capacity:

  • Licensed for 130 pax
  • But can offer 160 seated / 180 cocktail guests (with the extension of a liquor license at a request)

Venue Hire Packages at Mewburn Park

Choose between several wedding packages at Mewburn Park for a bespoke experience:

  • Premium package: Includes early venue access, Day suite, refreshing drinks and snacks, early start of the ceremony and a total of 15-hour venue hire
  • Grand Ceremony and Reception 1: 8-hour venue hire package with on-site ceremony from 4 pm onward, includes furniture and marquee
  • Grand Ceremony and/or Reception 2: Use this package for just the reception, or for a cocktail hour leading into a reception or even a late afternoon/early evening ceremony followed by a reception at the venue, 8-hour venue hire
  • Ceremony Only: 2.5-hour Garden or Stables ceremony with complete setup, photography rights are included; optionally include beverage package for refreshment after the ceremony; not available on Fridays and Saturdays during peak season
  • Micro Wedding Package: Morning, brunch or twilight wedding for max. 40 people

Wedding Night at Mewburn Park 

The Lakehouse in the paddocks of the homestead is a 1-bedroom house with a bathroom, kitchenette, bedroom and lounge where the newlywed couple can stay for the night. 

Soon there will be also added the brand new Mountain view cabin, more luxurious and spacious with an outdoor hot tub.

How does it all work?

Mewburn Park is like a private property wedding, but it is all managed for you.

Let us look after the annoying parts of a private property wedding, such as marquee hire, bar staff, furniture hire, garden maintenance, power sources, toilets, clean up and rubbish removal. It’s all included in your venue hire.

VENUE HIRE + BEVERAGE PACKAGE and then add your caterer, from a selection of 5.

Your on-site venue coordinators, Julia & Adam are personally making sure your day runs smooth and all vendors are aligned.

Bad Weather Plan?

Yes, we better factor that in - it’s always good to have Plan B in place. We are using the Old Farmers Shed to accommodate guests if it rains. We are always working towards your dream ceremony location, but will have to make a call on your wedding day at around 12-1pm latest so we are all ready and set for an amazing ceremony.

Dogs & other animals?

Oh we love a furry friend, please feel free to bring your dog along for the ceremony and photos afterwards. Needless to say, dogs need to be supervised, on a leash and looked after (doggy bag) all the time. We kindly remind you that your dog needs to leave the premises before reception. We also allow horses and other animals, please get in touch beforehand.

Are rose petals or confetti allowed?

Real flower petals for your ceremony are allowed.

Biodegradable confetti, Rice or confetti or confetti canons are not permitted. Thank you for your understanding

What's your cancellation policy?

With weddings being booked so far in advance it is often impossible to fill a date within 12 months. You may cancel by written notice.

Your Booking Fee (deposit) is non refundable unless Mewburn Park is able to secure another wedding on the same date with a similar value to your original booking, then your initial booking fee (deposit) will be refunded, minus a $500 administration fee.

If Mewburn Park is unable to secure another wedding with a similar value on the same date as your original booking, please note that your deposit/booking fee and additional payments are non-refundable.

Postponements/Rescheduling of dates are at Mewburn Park's discretion. In the case of a postponement, the full venue hire is required to be paid to secure 2nd date, all monies paid will be retained and are non refundable from thereon.

Can we do DIY styling?

Yes you can, but please be reminded of the following:

10.30am access to the marquee (unless otherwise discussed) and gardens.

Then the marquee will be set up then with all your tables and chairs and potential hire items.

Factor in that catering will start setting up cutlery & crockery approximately around 1hr before your ceremony.

Please consider that due to the heat in warmer months, flowers and candles can’t be left in the marquee all day.

We highly recommend getting a stylist to do this!

Is there enough Parking?

Your guests can park on the premise, there are about 200 parking spots. Cars can be left behind over night (no responsibility is taken by MP), but we kindly ask that they are to be picked up before lunchtime 12pm the next day.

However, we highly recommend a bus service, which we are more than happy to pass on detaiols.

Are there enough accommodation options nearby?

For our couples, we reserve the new Lakehouse for you both for your wedding night, with a breakfast hamper included.

Your guests will find plenty of accommodation in either Maffra or Sale. There are over 400 beds within a 20 minute drive from us.
